Its right up to the 80

Its been 12 days of my turbo cider brewing so as the popping is only 1 an hour, I decided to test it using my hydrometer for the first time. I filled the tube and the reading is 80? This is as far as it goes, I didnt take a reading at the start so I haven't a clue what the alcohol percentage...

I think I might have gone abit wrong, the kit came with a pk of dextrose pre measured wich I added to the barrel after I added the beer but I didnt dissolve it in any water, when I went to pour it 2 weeks later nothing would come out until opened the top just a touch

The bottles are ex cider plastic ones but they are 2.5 litres, the barrel is the usual 40 pints.

OK, ive just finished my first 2 brews as a beginner, my first was a coopers dark ale wich turned out beautifully but it had not much of a head once poured from the barrel. I then brewed a German weiss that had also poured flat so my question today is can anyone recommend a good cheap brew kit...

Hi marra, its a plastic barrel and tap wich is leaking around the threads

Can anyone kindly tell me what they use to fix a leaky pressure barrel tap? I cannot find any silicone that is both waterproof food grade safe and suitable for plastic? Any advice would be lovely chaps and ladies

Hi, I was given a bag of the wheat spray malt free when I ordered the the kit from amazon but I didnt use it as the kit had some sugar with it for the ferment and a bag of sugar to use as a primer. I haven't opened the fv, just turned off the heater for now

There was a bag of priming sugar included with the kit but its for a barrel.
