    Re: Willco's hoppy copper.

Started drinking this kit after getting it in a wilko sale a while back and very impressed for a budget kit. Brewed it basic with 1kg brewing sugar to 21litres. Comes out as a very nice session beer without the 'twang' of other wilko kits I've tried.

    Pressure gauge on Pressure Barrel

Hello, Has anyone who has a car tyre valve fitted on their 5 Gallon Pressure Barrels managed to fit a pressure gauge that can be left on with out leaking any pressure. I've got the type of valves fitted below on my barrels and would like to fit a gauge that I can have on all the time (this...

    Coopers European Lager Review

Started drinking mine a bit early (couldn't resist a try out), got to say I'm well impressed :D I've recently finished drinking canned Becks and rate this as good if not better. Which after my first disastrous attempt at a wilko cerveza 'lager' has got me keen to brew more of this. Brewed as...

    Woodfordes Wherry Review

Just had a taste out the pressure barrel after 3 weeks in a cold shed and its seriously impressive :thumb: After a bit of a rank brew result with the Wilko's cerveza my faith in home brew is restored ( the only two kits I've tried so far).Stuck to the instructions and would definitely buy this...

    Brew Fridges?

Thinking of putting one together as well, but do I really need one? Brewing using water bath method in garage so far, before this hobby gets even a little further out of control, does this help a lot. Might wait until next year when cooler temps are needed for lager brews. But do your best not to...

I Have Just Bottled Two Lager Kits.....But......

Only done the Cervaza so probably not much help but that came out really dark when bottling, if the pilsner is any darker than that I'd call it Guinness

    Wilko's Own Brand Cerveza.

Well it certainly looks clear, mine's been cooling for 3 weeks in the shed and is still really cloudy but has plenty of fizz (tried one at the weekend for research purposes  ).The taste wasn't too bad bit still surprised how dark its turned out.

    Should I be worried

Yep and when they're older they'll be thanking you for all the hours looking after your beer that they keep drinking

    Wilko's Own Brand Cerveza.

Has anybody got any pics of their brew at early bottling stage. Its my first brew attempt and I'm surprised how dark it looks, almost a treacle colour but the test samples tasted good. Will post a pic once I'm past the newbie status.

Another brew convert in the making

Evening all, Just though I'd introduce myself and say thanks for all the great tips & advice on here. I've been planning on trying home brewing for ages but finally gave my garage a good sort out and have converted half of it into a brew lab. Just bottled my first attempt (a wilko's cerveza)...
