Hi all,
I am bottle conditioning some Wiessbeer at 10oc as it is in my garage - the FV was in there for the past two weeks until I got round to bottling, is this going to stop or slow the carb on these beers?
I purchased an AutoSiphon from the sponsor site GEB and am a little disappointed with the product - so am wondering if it is me using it wrong. I pop the AS in the green beer to put into my bottling bucket and give it a couple of pumps and it starts going - however shortly after it starts...
I have been ordering from GEB'd and found no real efficiency issue with the crushed they have sent out - I don't know if I have been lucky - I guess buying 25KG at a time would be handy. Does it make that big of a difference hand crushing?
Hadn't thought of that though..
Hi all,
So with xmas fast approaching my wife is asking what it is I would like for xmas and I can only really think of things for my setup - the problem is, I don't know what I actually want...
My setup is pretty basic, I have a plastic Brupaks 29L boiler - a converted cool box mash tun some...
I have tried another since and no issue - it has been brewed about 8 weeks - I think I know what happened though - I tried to bottle prime the beer and after attempting one, batch primed but still poured into that bottle!!! Silly....
On the streaky brew - it seems to have disappeared - the brew...
So I opened a bottle of my first brewed batch yesterday and wow! It literally EXPLODED out of the bottle, I think there was only 20% left in the bottle so I didn't taste to see if it was an infection, I will leave that to find out tonight as I seem to remember priming one individually and then...
When I first pour my beer it appears quite bright and crisp but after a minute or so, the beer seems to almost fade and go a murky colour- it is really strange and I have no idea why? Am I going crazy, or is this a phenomenon?
Yea - I couldn't wait.
At 13 days after bottling the beer is markedly better than the last trial - shockingly so. I chilled a single bottle over the past two days and when I saw it looking at me, couldn't resist giving it a go. I should have let it settle to room temperature as when it warmed...
My brother in law works at a pub and gets these in the droves (well 20 a night) and I love these bottles!
They are so easy to clean too! Hot water and soda crystals - the labels slide off and just clean with a bottle brush - these will be my go to with a bench capper I have no issues. Now I am...
