I've always used Asda's own, and its done the job... well SWMBO hasn't complained! I've not tried Splenda as I'm a bit of a cheapskate and will always try supermarket own label first, and if that tastes OK, stick with it.

Mine's a burco, so the element is concealed, does this make a difference? Plus, the sound of that thermal fuse going, that gets me nervous!
