I used the yeast from the kit. I recall it was US yeast. Sorry i cant be more specific but i've only been brewing for a couple of weeks so often overlook the finer details :D
Im currently brewing Youngs AIPA. Its been on the go for about 8 days. The FV temp is now around 24'. It's stopped bubbling but there's pressure in there as the lid has bellied upwards.
I cant get it cooler, is this likely to be a problem?
I ended up adding 600g of the 1000g supplied, along with an extra liter of water, so i will see how it pans out! OG was 0.046 so it should finish around 5% abv, i guess.

Stupid question; ( im new to this) if i dont add any sugar will the fermentation process still happen?

If i wanted to make this beer to finish around 4% ABV what percentage of the brewing sugar should i add please?
Finished ABV is 6.5% if i were to add all of it..
