Started this kit off last Tuesday and its already down to 1.010! I've stuck the hop pellets in and hopefully should be kegging it on Christmas Eve. Had a taste and it tasted really good, nice and citrusy with a bit of a "hot" alcohol edge, which hopefully should mellow as it conditions.

Kegged the IPA on Tuesday gone, it's lovely and clear (already) and tastes ok (for a first try). There's a bit of estery fruitiness in there from the initial slow fermentation but it's drinkable and hopefully may improve in the next week or so. Haven't got the specific readings to hand but think...

Quick update, left the IPA alone for a bit for the hops to do their thing (hopefully be ready for kegging early next week). Had a look at the stout, going off the hydrometer reading, it's sitting at about 5.4% already, hoping for about 7.5 finally. Had a taste and have to say it's damn nice at...

Checked the gravity of the IPA today and it was down to 1.012, so chucked the hops in and left it fermenting gently. Put my second brew on today as well, 3kg dark liquid extract, 500g dark dry extract, 300g of treacle and 500g of muacovado sugar. Boiled 30g of Target hops for bitterness (60...

Had a few issues with slow fermentation at first, but bought a heating plate and now it's going nicely. Dry hopping today and also getting my second brew started!
