Yes - they are still for sale. The valves can take up to 15 psi, but you don't need to go that high for a decent carbonation to the beer. As a matter of fact, I used all three to brew beer for my daughter's wedding some time ago! Send me a pm if you are interested in buying them and we will make...
I have 3 Ritchie plastic barrels for sale. I no longer use them as I switched to Cornelius kegs some time ago and I need the storage space. These barrels are pretty unique and are no longer manufactured. They were top of the plastic keg range when they were made. They are different to other...
It's all relative really and depends on how much of the build you want to do yourself and how much you want to buy in. I just bought the bare bones pots and empty control panel box and built it all from scratch, but even then you may have to include the cost of various tools - stainless steel is...
Search for the "My Electric Brewery" threads on this forum that I put up nearly two years ago. Start here: http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=41517. I sold the 100L kettles shown in the threads in Spring this year and then slightly downsized and rebuilt the same brewery using...
Did what might be the last major brew for some time on my 3V kit over last weekend, so plenty of photos. I have just bought a 50L Braumeister and I expect to use this in the future for most of my brewing.
I brewed a 45L batch of Belgian Wit. Screen shots from Beersmith2. Ingredients were as...
For sale is a 60L thermopot which has been converted into both a boil kettle and a mash tun. Overall dimensions are 630mm high (including the skirt) and O/D 460mm. Weight is approximately 17kg. The pot has a fabricated stainless steel skirt fitted, within which is positioned the pipework for the...
Having recently purchased Chugger pumps my two 24V Magnetic Coupled pumps are up for sale. These were purchased from Homebrewbuilder (http://www.brewbuilder.co.uk) just over a year ago and are in an excellent clean condition. They are in full working order. These pumps offer massive amounts of...
I really enjoy the construction side of home brewing, but there comes a time when you have to reflect on what you've got and what you actually need, particularly as you get older. I've come to the reluctant conclusion that I have built too much brewing equipment for any present and possible...
SO4 can go straight in. Just sprinkle over all the top. Make sure the temperature of the wort is around 20 deg C. Before you sprinkle on the yeast give the wort a through stir until your arms are dropping off. Aeration at this stage is vital.
I have brewed it from the book as well. It was a good bitter, but lacked that certain Landlord bite. The big problem for the home brewer is that we cannot get the Timothy Taylor yeast. It's the yeast esters and flavours that tip the balance.
