Thanks. I'm planning a winter porter/stout hybrid. made one last year with pale malt, choc malt, torrefied wheat, . turned out fine. quite dry and malty. used admiral hops. thinking of a twist this year but cant make up my mind....:doh:

Was inspired by your orange wine recipe, so developed my own.:
1.5l orange juice
1l red grape juice
1 can of prunes
1.6kg sugar
turboyeast
its doing nicely. Have fermented prunes on the pulp. Will strain after turboyeast does its work. On a heat mat as we live in the far...
I have been conditioning for two-weeks at room temperature, then cooling down by transferring to my store/brewhouse at roughly 12 degrees c for a couple of weeks. During the winter I crash cool outside prior to serving (for a party etc). Is this OK?

I've seen these kegs in certain German supermarkets (full of fizzy lager - probably good stuff). I might get hold of one the next time they're in. Can you buy them empty, do you know?
