There is no problem with your fv dont worry about bubbles etc. Just go off your hydrometer readings . At present i use a coopers fv and they dont have airlocks the lid just sits on top . once you get same reading 3 days in a row it is prob ready to keg/bottle... vbol with...

This purchased this kit , and i have 3 packets 12g each of finishing hops.There are fuggles,saaz and goldings . Was thinking of doing the kit as per instructions then after first 2/3 days was going to add 1 of the above . Ne thoughts to which and at what point in the process...

Think i may buy a wilko kit make it as per instructions but b4 i put the yeast in i will put 4 lts in a demi john n just use a very small amount in that . after i work out how much and weather it will mix in ok

I work in a bakery department in a large well known supermarket. We use large blocks of yeast , it is like large blocks of cheese . My ? is could it be used in any type of brew, and if so what sort of quantities. tyvm in advance :cheers:

Ty Matt i just seen that topic, and after skimming through it all looks like mixed results , but with all brewing i guess the longer i leave it the better . Already next time i do the kit i am gonna add 3litres of apple to it and only 1kilo of sugar . ty Matt

Just done a wilko pear cider kit , as it is first time i done this 1 i followed all the instructions. i brewed it to 23 lts used 1.5kg of brewing sugar, used the yeast that came with the kit it is sitting at 22 degrees also it had starting gravity of 1.042. any one know what to expect...

I still want do use cartons but i was wondering can i do say 20 litres of it with say 12 cartons n topping up with water or does it have to be juice for the full quantity.

Hi all, im looking at doing a 5 gallon batch of cider. i dont really want to go n buy 22/23 cartons of juice. is the a way to do it but with less juice . ty
