    Christmas brews

I am going to be brewing an all grain Peat Smoked Porter for the first time in the next couple of weeks. It's a recipe I found and tweaked a little that hopefully will be great for Christmas.

How to remove bottle labels the easy way.

I find WD40 works very well with any stubborn label. I soak in hot water to get rid of most of the label or what I can then loosen what is left with WD40. Never found one yet that this does not work with.

Old Perculier - Suggestions for yeast?

Where I purchase my ingredients from has three grades if you like of crystal malt. They are listed as crystal malt, light crystal malt & dark crystal malt. I just use the one listed as crystal malt with an EBC of 152 unless a recipe specifically asks for light or dark.

    A kit like old peculiar?

I think they have sent you the 14g of East Kent Goldings to use instead of the 14g of Fuggles at the last 10 min boil for aroma.
