Now its sat for a little while longer i'm starting to get on with this one a bit better, I've tried it warm (ambient), Couple of hours in the fridge and also days in the fridge and have come to the conclusion a couple of hours chilling really sets it off well. Still not completely convinced...

Sounds like its doing what it should, maybe the airlock/lid wasn't sealed fully to start with so you weren't getting any bubbles. Also 18 is about right i would say 18-20/22 is the normal ale range I'd leave it at least another week before barrelling

Now been bottled for 6 weeks, so i thought i'd try another one. Had been the in fridge for a couple of days, was quite hazy when i poured it, minimal head this time which didn't last more than a couple of minutes. Not really sure what to make of it now, very sharp bitter, not really citrusy...

So I didn't wait, had it about an hour ago. Its bittered up quite nicely, still quite fruity, much more drinkable. Will now try and wait at least another 2/3 weeks I'm hoping it transforms into a winner

So being my normal impatient self i decided to try a sample for quality control purposes. 1st bottle i had after 1 week - small amount of carbonation, not a lot of head, nice aroma, tasted weird. 2nd bottle - 2 weeks in - great carbonation, good head but disappeared quickly, nice aroma...

Just set this one going to do a back to back with the Bulldog Four Finger Jack APA I've got on the go. Brewed short to 20 litres, OG was about 1043, done with 1kg Munton's enhancer Pitched the yeast at 21oC and now its sat rocking and rolling Will be pressure barrelling this one so not a true...

Bottled this last night as it's been sat at 1002/3 for 4 days, batch primed with 115g of sugar and ended up with 48 500ml Grolsch bottles of a lovely pale beer. The hop aroma was really nice, fruity even. OG was around 1048 but i hadn't corrected so was probably nearer 1050 which leaves me with...

I set this one going on Monday night (10th) and was really impressed with how easy it went together, certainly easier than my previous brews. I also managed to get a sensible pitching temp straight away rather than having to wait for the wort to cool. Pitched the yeast at 21oC and its been sat...

This one is sounding really good, which is a bonus as it's just arrived in the post. Might even try and get this one on later tonight :thumb:

Mine has finally settled down now, still very very grapefruity, but the bitterness has subsided quite a way. Much more drinkable now, although i can't help but feel it could have been better. I'm not sure how i feel on the carbonation, on the one hand the pint i poured last night went mental...

Just a thought, as old bloke said above, the secondary can mean 2 things. Either racking into a 2nd FV and leaving it to settle out for a bit without the priming sugar and then bottling or kegging with the sugar or Using a 2nd FV to batch prime for bottling where you do add the priming...
