Just that really. Looked in on my bucket o beer today (Chairmans European Lager, day 14) and there is a whitle film on the top. Kind of a dry skin? Tastes ok, smells ok and it is almost clear.
Any help anybody?
I used a potato ricer last year for my pear wine and i got lots of juice. Got to try this year on apples, but peelining each one and then mashing the **** out of it worked well. Took a while and had to keep the pears and the resulting pulp under cold water, but i have a very good wine this year.
I would use a packet of yeast for each gallon brew.
Activate the yeast in clean mugs with luke warm water and a lil sugar (or even apple juice) give them a few hours to get going then lob them in.
I did try to split a packet of yeast between 2 gallons once, messy and a lot slower start to...
I made this kit back in march and i still have a few bottles left. A good ruby colour with a shocking pink sediment (in bottle and FV), a bitter beer with a hint of fruit. Nowhere as fruity as a kriek, but a nice pint after a chilling. Would make again, but maybe try to add a bit more sweetness...
Thanks for the speedy reply. So if i was planning on bottling i would put it in the FV after it has finished bubbling? Day 7-10 or so? Could i put it in the FV during fermentation? I like to bottle asap so i get to drink it quicker!
Also, should i just be chucking the yeast in or should i be...
Could anybody give me any ideas how to do this? I have a beer kit to do on sunday and i would like to add some extra hoppy goodness, but i forgot to ask the man in LHBS of the particulars. I have brewing sugar to add, but is there any other additions i should try?
Boo hoo hoo :-( My sodastream finally turned up but there is no bottle in which to put liquid in to make fizzy. Any ideas peeps? If i cant get hold of one it is up for grabs
