    my first Brewferm kit,Ambriox,brewed it,with 1kg of wilkos brewing sugar,and 200g of granulated sugar,smell was the best if ever had from a kit can,O.G 1.700,made it to 15 litres as it said on the can,hydrated the yeast(this is the first time ive done that)it should come out at 6.5%abv,problem...

    brewed this last sunday,had a quick look to see how fermentation was going,all good,yet there was a strange sulphur type smell alongside the usual brewing smell,is this normal? the "eggy" smell only lasted for about 40 seconds :hmm:

    just purchased one,after good reviews here,and elsewhere,cant wait to mash this one up,love my belgian beers,be great if i can re produce a belgian style,if you have ever been to Belgium you will know what i mean,a beer menu,over 30 types=heaven :P :drink:

    my first re entery to homebrewing after 10/15 years,got my new equipment,went for a coopers aussie lager(had good reviews) tweaked it slightly wilko brewing sugar,and 500g of light brown sugar added,fermented for 2 weeks,O.G 1.500 FG 1.110 not bad,newbie fail :doh: over primmed the p.e.t...

    :doh: 24 pints not liters !!! :( i wonderd why the O.G was 1.450, ah well 5% barley wine it is then,i wish for a newbie like me,the instruction stuck to liters,and or pints,very confusing
