    Totally Tropical Pale

I tried my first bottle of this last night, two weeks after bottling. Absolutely delicious, my best brew so far. It was crystal clear - I used protofloc and fermented with US-05, and didn't dry hop until fermentation was over.

James Morton English Pale Ale ( Smash)

I'm bottling my first batch of the totally tropical tomorrow, having stuck to the recipe completely. It already smells and taste amazing, can't wait to see what it's like after conditioning for a few weeks.

St Peters Ruby Red Ale review

Well, I got a bit impatient and opened up a bottle after two weeks. It was great to drink my first ever bottle of home brew - realising that I'd made a real beer! I have a spare freezer with room enough for a fermenting vessel. Is there any reason I shouldn't use it with Inkbird + heating element to control the fermenting temperature, or do I need to use a fridge?

    Hello from St Albans

It was very cloudy when bottled; I hope that'll all clear out over the next few weeks.

St Peters Ruby Red Ale review

I've just bottled a batch of this as my first ever brew. It was in the fermenter for 14 days, though it went from OG 1.040 to FG 1.012 in about 9. I used Safale S-04 instead of the yeast included in the kit, and it was very active for a few days, with the airlock bubbling away like mad, before...

    Hello from St Albans

Hello all! I am very new to brewing - I've just bottled my first brew, a St Peters Ruby Red Ale kit beer. I'm planning to make a few more kit beers to get used to the process, then move into all-grain brewing when I'm comfortable it. I have a lot to learn!
