Put on my first WOW Monday 1st April. Standard ingredients but added juice of 1/2 lemon by mistake. Orange juice was very cheap quality from corner shop and DJ has been sitting in 20 degrees C waterbath since.
Despite bubbler bubbling away at about 2 blurps per second for the past 2 days, my...
Seriously? A coat-hanger??? I'll work on getting my Dad to make one for my next DJ, providing drill is not too filthy lol... Just got my first proper WOW on so will look forward to coat-hanger whip and 40p/bottle tipple with great anticipation :D

Hi guys - could really do with some help here.
Just at the stage where I need to rack my first 2 wines brewed in a DJ.
I've tried shaking with hand over the top, and got very splattered so don't want to continue down that route any further...

Ta that recipe sounds absolutely magnificent !!!! :D
Just purchased a bottle of the Lowicz Rasperry syrup further to recommendations on here for additions to WOW-type wines, still to use it however, but at 30% pure raspberry juice I would far prefer your recipe and will deffo try it cos I'm...
Thanks OldBloke - am seriously considering a parsnip wine next - will deffo take your advice and also check the chepo reduced items on supermarket shelf!! Last time I got parsnips reduced at 10p for 500g they were in my fridge 6 weeks past their sell by before they went off :D
Still a bit stuck on this one - the ferment restarted after about 24h, at about 1 bubble every 6 seconds. It was about one bubble a second before I racked it. The bubble speed still hasn't picked up in 3 days.
Should I add some more yeast perhaps? Or perhaps nutrient? :?:
I made a Winebuddy chardonnay once - it's a 6 day ferment with 1 day to clear as far as I remember.
As long as the fermentation has finished you will be fine.

You need to siphon it from one container to another, can be a bit tricky though. I've never filled a wine box, but you dont need a machine to do it. :D
