Haha.
In the end I used 2 carbonation drops
I did make a larger volumes. Probably 26 or 27 litres and instructions say gravity should be below 0.8 before bottling but mine was 1.1 ish...
It had been in the vessel 2 months ( is that crazy?) Looked and smelled amazing though...
It had...
Hey guys im just bottling this stuff now.
I threw the brewing sugar it came with in at the start.. why not.
Anyway, I've got coopers carbonation drops...
They state 1 per 375 and 2 per 750ml
What about my 500ml pet bottles??? How many do i use? They are too chunky to cut up. Help...
Hi guys..
I have a geordie bitter kit ready to brew.. but was wondering, if i get another kit and maybe change the yeast...
Then add both kits to a standard 25L FV
will i get a stronger alcohol yield?
Not happy with 3.5 % really at the moment
I loved this kit. I will definitely be brewing it again. I'm used to the sediment now really and kind of got the hang of pouring from a pet bottle. I still don't have the guts to use glass bottles yet. I think I have 1 bottle left!!
The father in law said he wouldn't know the difference...
It was pretty much exactly reverse for me. Someone said they used coopers so I used 2 wilko ones..
Mine is quite fizzy but the plastic pet bottles being hard still have a bit of give..
I just thought if I under carb it I'll regret it. You'll be fine with 2 I think.
I asked the exact same question 3 weeks ago.
I added 2 wilkos carbonation drops to 500ml
This kit is so tasty, easily my favourite so far. I have already go through like 10 bottles and yeah. That's at only 3 weeks!
2 work well...
Hello.
My first batch of mead looked lovely and clear so I racked it into a new demi john.
With hindsight I probably should have left it longer as a bubble was still appearing every 1 min 30ish.. anyway...
It's been sitting in this demi john for a while now and I'm not sure if I should rack...
Thanks mate that's really helpful.
I read that the wilkos barrel can withstand up to 15psi..
And they sell the same bulbs in wilko.
So... just as I'm getting my head around it
I only plug a co2 bulb on when it struggles to dispense my beer?
How do I know if I'm adding too much, or indeed...
OK cheers.
So what is with the force carbonation?
I read somewhere you don't have to add priming sugar if you use co2?
I wasn't sure whether I screw the bulb on and leave it there or just the case of a one time injection then discard until you need more pressure and repeat...
Please would somebody write a;
'how to / for dummies'
Instructions for this piece of equipment please?
Wilko barrel only please
I'm pretty confident with bottling, but I have a spare barrel laying around and before I put 5 gallons of beer into it I want to make sure I don't ruin my...
Thanks guys for your advice..
In the end I went for........... two wilko drops.
I have never been a 'less is more' kind of guy.
Can't wait to drink it! Smells amazing!
P.S I don't know how to flip the image
