Yeah it cleared beautifully, crystal clear in fact. And tasted so good it didn’t make it past New years lol. Would definitely make this again even the wife liked it 👍

    What next

Hi All I’ve currently got 2 ales on the go a Woodfords Wherry and a Festival Pride of London porter. I’m now wanting to start a larger brew but using a kit rather than attempting to mix up my own. Now the question is is there any kits out there that taste like a San Miguel or Estrella lager...

    Dry hops

Hi All currently brewing the Festival Pride of London Porter. I’ve sprinkled the Dry hops which come with the kit on day 5 as per instructions, we’re now on day 8 and it seems to have formed a thick foam on top of the brew. Everything is within range temperature wise my concern is it says it...

Thanks for the replies, the problem I have is it’s already in the pressure keg with 70g of priming sugar so I’m guessing I can’t open that now to add further ingredients. Guess I can just leave it a few weeks more and maybe add so CO2 through the valve on top of the keg if needed, all though it...

It’s been in the fermenter for 3 days with plenty of activity another 2 days and I can add the supplied hops. It says after the...

quick question? Is there anyway to improve head retention on beer? Will it improve the longer it’s left. Added 70g of granulated sugar to mine 3 days ago and pulled a cheeky sample off to check hydrometer reading my Wherry is coming out at 4.46% which is almost blob on the 4.5% and tasted pretty...

When would you pop it in the pressure keg Mashbag? Would you wait for all that to disappear on top?

    Back brewing after 15 years

Ok folks on day 10 now of my Wherry hydrometer reading is currently giving me 1012 and has been steady for a few days, so a ABV is approximately 4.2% Had a peek inside the fermenter and there’s still a few bubbles on top ( attached photo) bearing in mind I’ve witnessed zero activity from the...

When I come to siphon into the pressure keg would you pass it through any kind of filter? Or just take it with as little movement as possible to fermentation tub. Thanks Again

    Back brewing after 15 years

Hi Rodcx500z That’s a little above my skill set lol , don’t have any control over temp other than bucket wrapped up and around a constant 22C We’re on day 8 now think I’ll leave it a few more days and look again. It will be going into a pressure keg with 70g of granulated sugar, and back in the...
