Same happened for me too. 1.020 exactly. After 3 weeks, I racked to secondary, gave it a bit of a stir and left it for another 2 weeks. It came out at 1.012 and was absolutely flipping gorgeous!
Hi Guys,
One of my elements has finally died during last brew. I don't know enough about them to determine if it's repairable. I had a spillage and wort got in there, sparks were heard, flames were seen... yea.
Anyway I have 2 x 2.7Kw Backer elements fitted to my 70ltr pot (one of those...
This is a really great beer. This is the best beer I have brewed. I am using a corny for the first time and I force carbonated. It's just amazing, well done Clibit and thanks for sharing. I'm serving this cold but it has a very warming aftertaste
I didn't get a response. But I have found a 1.5kg co2 bottle from an Adams Gas supplier in Bristol for ã15 + ã25 deposit. Seems reasonable and he says I can exchange for a bigger bottle without a bigger deposit!
I have got everything ready but I have realised that I'm missing a...
Can I use this co2 bottle do you think? http://www.gas-uk.co.uk/carbon-dioxode-co2-5-litre.html
They offer a 'beverage' gas which consists of a co2/nitrogen mix but the bottle is too big at 910mm.
@ghb As in not enough room? The one I was looking at, the fridge section was about 900mm high, should be plenty.
@chewie thanks for explaining the bad beer logic! I did always wonder.
@Manse I think you are onto a winner here. It makes sense at least for the short term to get a used...
I'm well aware that I won't be benefiting from the warranty! As soon as I cut into anything that will likely be void. I'm planning on trying to remove the side of the fridge and inspecting for cooling lines before I cut the actual metal sheet.
Glad that gas can (and should) be kept out of the...
Looks like I'm going to build a kegerator! I'm going to buy a new fridge I reckon.
Right now, I have 1 corny keg but in the future, I would like 4 kegs hooked up, swmbo would also like a chest freezer for storage. I think I can fit 2 kegs with gas in an under the counter fridge, so I'd need...
I was in a bit of a rush when I posted this and I've caused some confusion sorry! I'm not getting that specific regulator, I meant just one like that, I just google it and picked one 'like' the one I was looking at earlier. The one you've posted Soton looks ideal. Thanks for your post, it's...
The link would be really helpful, thanks :-D
Not sure I can afford the ã100 plus all the other bits at the moment so I might have to settle for a longer term more expensive version but it depends on the saving!
HI Guys,
I know there are a few threads about this already but I couldn't definitively find out my answer!
I have a used corny keg and I need to buy a co2 regulator. Eventually, I will be using 3-4 cornys so I will need a multi setup. If I bought a regulator similar to this one...
