Well I doubt I'm going to have to worry about preservative now. Me and the wife had a bottle of this at the weekend and it was really, really nice - maybe a bit too fizzy for my liking but I'll stick to the 40g of sugar I put in for my next batch as she likes it the way it is. Next one is going...
In addition to this I've done the Beaverdale and California Connoisseur Cab Savs and the first thought I had when I tried it after a month was Gallo Turning Leaf which is about the highest compliment I could give any wine. I'm in agreement with #GDog though as I've brewed Cellar 7 and Australian...
Cheers Paul,
Never heard of that before - seems a bit odd storing a bottle at an upside down 45% angle but hey if its good enough for the French I may need to invest :)
Yeah, at the point that I transfer into second container and add the priming sugar I will degass and then bottle. I'm not planning on adding any finings as I don't when I do 40pt cider kits and I've found this particular juice clears nicely without them when I'm just doing a standard batch.
Haha, I may have misread something then but I've put that amount in 3 bulldogs and 2 on the rocks so far and haven't had any of my pet bottles explode on me yet - I do use the decent ones like (24 for ã15 off the ebay). and yeah its just as fizzy as opening a can of Strongbow Dark Fruit...
I'm going to have a shot at a sparkling WOW. I have a 4.5l batch of Asda Raspberry, Apple and Cranberry ready now and was planning to just syphon off the sediment into another container, add 36g of sugar, stir and immediately bottle into 6 x 1l empty sparkling water PETs and leave to carb up...
I've just bottled this kit last weekend and me and the missus are currently drinking the Mixed Berries variety. I added 230g of sugar on both of these kits and batch carbonated in a bucket prior to bottling and the mixed berries has a lovely fizz to it. The Raspberry and Lime will be due for a...
I sampled (along with the large majority of the wife's family) this kit at the weekend and I have to say it is very pleasant. I had only tried Bulldog kits before this one which were acceptable but in my humble opinion this is much better. You do need to add your own sugar to this one (where you...
I've been having a good mess about with Asda's range of juices with mixed results (for the love of God stay away from Pink Grapefruit :)) and I highly recommend the Raspberry, Apple and Cranberry to anyone who fancies a wow which actually tastes like the juice it was made from after fermentation...
