    Any one seen this contraption?

The tap-a-draft fits into a regular fridge, although I have to shift the top shelf up a few notches. It works using the 8g co2 capsules, not sure it would work with a big cannister. Unless you can find a way of refilling the capsules.

    Caught out by cold

I've popped the FV into the nursery (warmest room in the house). If bringing it back up to temp doesn't get it going, are there any other methods to kickstart it?

    Caught out by cold

It was the brew that got down to 14. I've moved it somewhere warmer, but it's not got going yet.

    Caught out by cold

Morning all, Brewed on Thursday when the temperature was a nice 19-20 on my utility room, but I was away over the weekend, got home to find the temp was down to 14 degrees. The brew has stopped bubbling, is there anything i can do to get it restarted?

    Youngs American IPA

I bottled mine yesterday after 3 weeks fermenting & 2 days cold crash. Still super cloudy. It finished at 1004. So a decent 6.8%. Batch primed & put half into my new tap-a-draft system I picked up from wilko. Other half bottled. Can't wait to try it, tasted awesome up till now.

    Youngs American IPA

Getting this on the go today...any advice on fermenting temp. I'm able to keep brews between 17c-19c, but will struggle to get the 20c-24c it says in the instructions. I guess I'll just have to wait a little longer for it to be ready? OG was 1055, so with expected FG of 1007, looking at 6.4%

Is there such a thing as a tasty low alcohol beer?

Brewdog Dead Pony Club is excellent, maybe try a clone of that. Adnams (solestar) & Kernel (table beer) both brew lower alcohol beers, the Kernel is particularly good.

    Do have a hop problem?

I'm a bit of a hophead too. Love Celt & Tiny Rebel, originally from Machen. Now living in Bath I have plenty more to choose from. Bristols craft scene has gone mental in the last 18 months. Only just started brewing, got the new youngs American IPA kit & St Peters Ruby red kits on the...
