I know this has probably been asked many times but....... I have bought 8 clear and 1 brown demijohns off eBay for £11.29 so got a bargain. Only trouble is the clear ones are the colour of the brown one..... they have dried sugar and sediment in the bottom of them. What is the best process...

Wife came home from peterborough today. She knows nothing about wine making only how to drink it so below a bit vague...... Oakland have muntons kits that normally go for £40+ are down to £9 that's all she could tell me. Don't know If nationwide or just certain shops.

agree cheaper from bobsbeer and they are fantastic..... no leaking bottles even if you lay them down. also reusable several times each.

before adding sultanas or raisins to a brew is there anything you need to do before chopping/mincing and adding? do I need to wash in cold or hot water or just chop and add?

now that I have received my novatwist screw caps from bobsbeer I need to remove wine labels from my bottle collection. what are the best methods people have come up with to get all that old glue off with?

interested in this thread as I'm going to sweeten one of my wines I have bought some vinclasse sucralose, this is not cheap £20 for 100g. it says it is 600 x sweeter than sugar so how would you add this???? is there a weight qty to add to get from dry to medium please or is it to taste...

I have just racked my berry port today (called it Isabelles port after my daughter who was born in October when I started it) and first taste was very young and fruity so has potential. it started off at around 1.150 so quite high..... it was down to 1.015 when I racked it and about 1 bubble...
