    Urn/kettle/boiler

Thanks for all he info guys! Would you hate me if I said I actually went and bought a gas burner. Was £30 and I already had the gas in the garage anyway. So I'll give this go, and see how it goes. Something that puts me off the electric boilers is that I'm Led to believe they require a bit...

    Urn/kettle/boiler

Thanks guys, appreciate it! I think I'll ask Santa for the 56 litre boiler! Although in the short term I think I'll price up an element for the stock pot I already have. I'm no electrician so hopefully it's easy done, plus also the 56 litre boiler requires a bit of building. Hopefully not...

    Urn/kettle/boiler

Hey guys, Hope you are all well! So currently I'm using a 20 stick pot and my gas job to do small BIAB's. This is destroying my counter in the kitchen due to the length of time it sits on the hob and the gas is burning. Anyway, the good lady isn't best please however this is a great...

    BIAB recipe's & Ingredients

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to home brewing and even newer to BIAB. I have previously done 3 beginners kits and moved swiftly on to BIAB. For my first BIAB i done a simple smash recipe and ended up with a 10 litre batch currently in my FV. I'm looking to progress and do something...

    How to Heat your Brew?!

Hey. I already have that heat belt that was posted earlier. I've found that it gets very warm but doesn't heat the brew up. I didn't have it insulated, the FV was just sitting on the kitchen counter. So that being said the belt gets stupidly warm and I'm sure if I insulate it, it will do the...

    How to Heat your Brew?!

Yeah I've seen that combination come up a lot on Amazon and also as people have said before to put one of these heaters into a fridge. Then you hav the best of both worlds if it's a working fridge. I think that maybe be the route I go. I'll need to start hunting for a cheap used fridge!

    How to Heat your Brew?!

Hey. Thanks for all the advice. I had never thought of submerging the FV and using a water heater. I will explore this further. I do like the sound of the brew fridge though and will certainly be keeping an eye out for a freebie from Family and friends. Some great advice! Thanks...

    How to Heat your Brew?!

Hello, Being a beginner in the home brew front I have so far been relatively successful in my first two brews! I have now caught the bug and want to brew on and improve. One of the things I found most challenging was maintaining the correct temp. About 18-20 degrees c for my ale. I...

    No head

Ah sorry I see... It was he Canadian blonde kit from coopers. Which was the malt extract tin, plus coopers brew enhancer 1. Then the coopers carbonation drops when bottling. Nothing else. I'm happy with the taste, maybe a little sweet just now. But certainly for my next brew I'll be...

    No head

Cool I've got a few other bottle in the fridge that input in last night so I'll try them tonight to see if there is a difference. The rest of the batch I'll give maybe a week more to see if there's any difference. I never added anything into the kit. This was my first ever brew and to be...

    No head

Hey, I've had the exact same problem. I've primary for two weeks, and then bottled for two at around 18 degrees. The two weeks was over today and I put 4 bottles in the fridge for a few hours before sampling. Very flat with little or no head. More head left in bottle. Tasted good, just flat...
