Had a quick sample of the Poe's Boston from the corny last night (poured into a jug so not really photogenic enough for what did you drink tonight thread). Anyway, very very nice. Nice colour, creamy head and a caramel flavour. Just needs to clear now so I'll leave it a week. Looking forward to...
Sam Smith's from Tadcaster, that takes me back. I used to live in York and I used to ride my bike to Taddy and back when it was a nice day/evening. Our local was the Tankard at Rufforth.
Mine was packed in the same kind of box although my malt wasn't trying to escape :laugh8:.
Unpacked it today, I think the cat must have been walking across the keyboard when I was ordering. I'm sure it will all get used though.
If you like adult Anime then Blue Eye Samurai (accidentally spelled that right) on Netflix.
Some of the animation is incredible. I know its all computers these days but there's one bit (not a spoiler) where a girl is wearing a crown which has lots of dangly bits hanging down and as she walks...
Interesting. I spotted that in Waitrose earlier (posh or what ? We were trooping round every supermarket in the area to find some cranberry juice). I hesitated because it was three quid. Glad I passed.
LOL, only printed one and its in the barrel. A quick diagram :-
Assembly is a bit fiddly. Push the tube into the weight, float and filter and thread it into the barrel from the top so the other end of the tube pokes through the tap hole. Push the tube into the adapter then push the adapter...
I would imagine that as being almost wine like. I seem to remember that Sorachi Ace has something about it that is unique, its got a lot of one of the hop oils I think.
Screen shot of the Tinkercad design from top left clockwise :-
Float - the beer tube goes through the hole at the top. The 'fins' at the bottom are simply there to support the print so I don't have to mess on with supports.
Hop filter - the beer pipe goes into this.
Beer line adapter - goes...
I 3D printed my own solution for my pressure barrel. An adapter for the inside of the tap which a tube goes into. On the other end it slots into a filter which is attached to a floating ball. When the barrel is nearly empty the float can’t float anymore so the filter end drops to the bottom.
I...
A brew inspired by "The New IPA" hop book I've been reading. Its just Maris Otter for the malt. The hops are Mosaic, Simcoe and Calypso. Going to be dry hopping during the ferment and the yeast is going to be 90% Verdant IPA and 10% 71B-1122 wine yeast.
Should be really fruity if my...
