Anyone tried the James Morton Totally Tropical Pale ?

I’m hoping to brew at the weekend assuming the fridge is vacated .

Yeah. One of my best brews. The FV smelt like fresh pineapple juice - amazing. Although this didn't fully transfer to the bottle. I think that's more down to me rather than the recipe. You'll have about 2-3 months before the hoppiness dissipates.

It's a great brew

This is my perfect type of tipple by the sounds of it, I'll be looking forward to reading your thoughts!

Just looked at my notes for this brew and I mentioned that side by side, I preferred it to Brewdog's Hop Fiction and equal to James Morton's Out of Town brewery's IPA.

I found it quite dry (ideal IPA I suppose). If making again I would increase the Munich malt a little, or reduce the sugar.

My favourite beer from his book.

The book is great for anyone who hasn't read it. Explains all aspects really well for the complete novice. I have another brew book that still confuses me so I often find my way back to James' book.

Happy brewing.!

I'm tempted by this one for my next brew, perhaps with Yeast Bay Vermont yeast. It's odd that it's got 130g hops for an aroma steep yet "only" 50g for dry hopping.

100g of Mosaic will be superb combined with that lot 👍

Got my ingredients for a 12l brew of this. £33 for hops and yeast! :/ But I’ll have a fair chunk of the hops left over because I got 100g of each. Yeast Bay Vermont yeast is sitting on the stir plate, hopefully to brew on Wednesday if this yeast gets done as quickly as it promises to.
