I bought my white labs 830 yeast (mac date 18/5/17, best before Nov 2017) but due to family commitments its going to be a month or so before i get round to it. Should i be ok or should i make a starter now and redo the starter again nearer the date.
 
I'd keep it in the fridge and save it. When it is in the packet it is guaranteed free of contamination. If you make a starter now and then leave it for a month there is more chance of something nasty growing in it.

Use an online calculator and make sure you make an enormous starter. I guess you would anyway for an imperial pilsner but use on online calculator and make sure you have enough cells for your planned brew.
