    this is a partial mash kit , it's my first partial mash, I found it easy to do great precise instructions. it's a light golden brew of honey infused beer, very lite and sweet with good bitterness and hoppy aroma. I think I will have to do another before summer is out.

    cultivating used yeast

    I have just brewed 20lt turbo cider using WL616 yeast , this stuff is hard to come by so I have taken the yeast out of FV removed the trub and set it in 1lt apple juice with quarter Teaspoon of Wilco yeast nutrient it's been on the stir plate an hour and growing already.

    gluten free

    hi I've developed a gluten intolerance and about to brew a festival kit , using WL clarity ferm to make it gluten free. has anybody used it ? also if it does brew a gluten free brew will washing the yeast and re use make the new brew gluten free or will I need to pitch clarity ferm again?

    hi guys back after 4 year lay off , lost my brew space during house rebuild and a gluten Intolerance stopped my brewing. but now build a brew shed and just done my first cider in it . some tweaks needed in the shed . but glad to be back

    clia syndrome

    Yes I have clia syndrome. Can't leave it alone syndrome. Put festival Suffolk strong ale into the keg 10 days ago and already it's better than any pint in my local. OK it's not clear yet but the taste is fantastic. I must be strong and let it mature fully .

    excited that much I can't wait

    Just added my dry hops to a 23lt kit of Taylors landlord, have followed the instructions to the letter. The smell was great when I took the lid of the FV to add the hops.

    beer improver v dextrose for priming.

    If beer improver work and I'm guessing they do, then why don't the kit manufacturers just put them in instead of sugar for priming ? Anybody prefer them to the dextrose that's supplied ?

    Hello from an ex bootneck

    Hi fellow brewers I'm ex marine who has just started brewing I have 19lt of munt ons cider in a barrel and 23 Lt of Taylors landlord in FV adding the hop pellets in 2 days. Live in Worcestershire any advice welcome as well as the chance to meet up with brewers local to me.
