Welcome. I have bought a Wherry and will be trying for my third brew. Only been here a month or so and already addicted!

So It turns out our local homebrew shop was having a closing down sale with 75% off everything (sorry guys - today was the last day!) - So sent the wife out with the card and let her loose. For £30 she came back with 1) 20 litre Fermenter 2) Tall neck fermenter 3) 5 Packs of Carbonation...

Sorry just re-read my notes - and I put in 100g! I measured it a couple of weeks ago from the remained in the bag and forgot! :roll: I will have a google of the items you recommended!

What would you reccomend for priming? I think i still have time to add a little more before it gets going fully

Hi All, Just siphoned by second brew into a barrel - and it certainly was a experience. Could of queries tho as I struggled on the last few pints at the bottom on the barrel as I kept loosing suction pressure as I didn't appear to be able to hold the beer end of the siphon steady enough...

Hi Hop Head. Firstly many thanks for the advice. My fermentation was complete on Wed and did not have the time to barrell until today (Sat) I decided to go ahead and add the fininings before hand and gave a very gentle stir. No problems or disturbed sediment. I will certainly keep your advice...

Hi All, Sorry - no doubt its a newbie question, but I can't seem to find an answer about this... I have a batch which is Primary and I wish to add finings (wilkos finest). It says to add to the primary after fermentation is complete then give a stir. I am worried that stirring will...

Update- The first chilled one was good :party:. medium carb and i now understand the meaning of "young" tasting. I decided to attempt a 2nd bottle without chilling - not such a good experience, lots of floaty stuff and not great - launched the last 1/4! :cry: Think I will shelve again...
