    Ramping up the temp.

    Hi all. Got a porter sitting in trubs from saturday at a a steady 20c. looks pretty done to me. Going to leave for another week. Have heard it's a good practise to put the temp up to 24c or so for a few days, to let the yeast clear up a bit more. Pros and cons please. I.e . Is it worth it, too...

    Cleaning bottles in the dish washer?

    Hi all, Do any of you do this or is it a no no?I usually ,after a rinse, put the bottles in,wash, then cling film, pack away.On bottling day, put in a trub with oxy clean, then rinse with warm water then spray with starsan.Wondering if on bottling day , i could just pop bottles in dishwasher...

    krausen not dropping

    Done a A.P.A. last saturday using a wyeast slap pack and there's still a inch of krausen on top . the thing is , it's got this whitish powdery coating on top. not seen this before. should i be overly concerned?checked f.g. and down to 1.010 so think it's done. wondering if i should skim the top...
