    empty water dispenser bottles

    you could get one of those long thin things with "flappers" on that you fit into your drill, dont know the right name but they are for cleaning demi's and 25 ltr round fermenters.

    Hello everyone, I am thinking of getting a pressure barrel to use instead of bottling, as i ONLY do small batches i am looking for a 2 gallon one, Now, tesco are doing a 5 gallon one at the moment at £18 odd but i think would have to use loads of co2 bulbs to fill the space,(am i right)...

    Bottles.

    only way to do it is with a syphoning tube, try not to disturb the trub in the bottom of the FV and make sure the other end is on the bottom of the secondary FV so as not to introduce any air into the wort, or as little as possible anyway. Don't forget, when you've bottled it to put the bottles...

    Never used them myself but dont see why not, they must work, loads of people say they're ok, myself i would just add to each bottle. You can transfer to another fv (secondary fermenter) for a while, it helps clear the beer. the yeast will drop to the bottom so you dont get so much in the...

    bought this while on offer £8.00, i thought bargain!!!!! then i read the reviews, had to make some adjustments so brewed it to 20 ltrs, with 1kg of brewing sugar and 400grams maltodextrin. used the yeast that came with the can then after 5 days dry hopped with 50grams of simcoe, smells great...

    lager is a buggar to get right, (taste like shop bought) even a good make from a can ie Coopers, come with an Ale yeast. you might want to try a lager yeast but these need a much lower temp than ale yeast, nothing is straight forward. have you tried "two can kits" these generaly give a better...

    Bottles.

    its odds on they will be ok, just a level teaspoon of priming sugar per bottle , if you can, use one plastic 500 ml fizzy water or pop bottle then when its gone hard to squeeze you know its ready.

    looks like your restricted to the big stores then, wilkinsons, tesco, the range, morrisons, and some asda's. there is a home brew shop in Barry, but i've never been there. I'm in Nantymoel and i have to use ebay a lot, postage is a killer.....

    i'm in south wales too and homebrew shops are "****" thank god for ebay. I have sent for stuff from aberaeron home brew and it arrived very fast, good stock too. where are you exactly?
