    Beer newbie

I usually do ciders and wines with the odd dabble in sloe gin and bramble brandy etc. I am seriously considering a tentative footstep into beers for Christmas/New Year drinking. I am not a beer drinker myself but hubby, brother in law, Father in law and Dad are. We are in Scotland so Dad...

    2kg strawerries

TY to you both... I think i might try both, the delights of living in Angus at this time of year means there are always berries to be had

Brewnight: Strawberry and Lime Turbo cider

I do.. and there could be, i have some worktop to be fitted in it too. The insulation is more for me, its bloody freezing in winter, I used to make glass beads in it but i've sold off my kit as i had no time and december/feb was icy icy icy

    2kg strawerries

I've managed to acquire 2kg of fresh from the farm local berries, does anyone have a fail safe strawberry wine recipe I could borrow, making jam with them is boring and it was originally 3.5 kg so we have eaten loads

Has Home Brew ever 'messed with your head' ?

My dad used to go like that when drinking Caffreys Irish Ale in the mid 90's. He never did find out why and just avoids it. If it is one specific batch thats giving the issues I would just chuck it. As you make a decent cider just make that instead

    How old are you?

I'm 35.. I prefer making wines and ciders to beers. TBH i am not a big beer drinker and neither is my husband. I dream of going commercial one day but its pie in the sky stuff i'm afraid

    Hiya From Scotland

I love prime. I have decided first brew will me a Mexican cerveza, something refreshing for summer. After that then who knows, I am resisting the urge to have multiple brews going at once as I need to walk first. I want to try a cider or 2 using my own flavours then maybe a ginger beer with a...

    East Durham Brewery Project

Don't worry about brew uni.. I've a masters in food and drink, I can distill quite happily for days and days. I made a mean raspberry and cream vodka for my final project but brewing daunts me. I'm new too, my plans are more modest though, supply husband and father/father in law with drink.

    Hiya From Scotland

Evening everyone.. I'm sneaking in nervously. I am a newbie pretty much, I have made fruit wines and liquers in the past (sloe gin etc) but I have gave in to requests from my dad and husband to turn my hand to ales and/or beers. quite difficult as I do not like the taste of them but i will...
