    Calling all Klarstein Owners.

I used the grain basket to retain hops (pellets) for the first time tonight having previously just had them loose in the boil. It worked an absolute treat. No problems draining the wort, where as I have previously had to scrape the side of my filter with a SS paddle to clear the hop debris and...

Geterbrewed single hop full grain kit

Sounds promising. Hopefully it will turn out ok

    Keg won’t pour

Good thinking! I might give that a try.

Complete Newbie after advice on inkbird

I do the same, but I’ve not quite made it as far as masking tape, so I just use a piece of string wrapped around the fermenter.

    Keg won’t pour

I initially thought the same, but then thought that you must do that to refurb the posts / replace o rings etc But when I tried I couldn’t get it out, so I tried the alternative and that seems to have done the trick!

    Keg won’t pour

I have given this a go and we seem to have some early signs of success. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts for

    Keg won’t pour

Will this work with carbonated beer or will it just foam?

    Keg won’t pour

Having scoured the internet, the most popular solution to this seems to be removing the poppet from the out post and accepting a bit of hop matter in the glass. Obviously this will mean that i need to be careful not to remove the disconnect before the keg is finished. And hope that the tap...

    Keg won’t pour

I might give that a try. May well solve the problem. I have a “spare” keg so wouldn’t be the end of the world to have one slightly short dip tube. Although with stainless steel dip tubes they may take some trimming!

    Keg won’t pour

It might be worth a try, but I fear that it won’t make any difference. It was hop pellets rather than leaf so it’s more like a gunky mulch!

    Keg won’t pour

I’ve worked out what’s happening The bottom of the keg post and top of the dip tube is getting clogged up with hop matter. I have taken it apart, cleared the blockage, star san like crazy and put it back together three times now, but it just clogs up again as soon as I start to pour. What can I...

    Keg won’t pour

Thanks guys. Will give these ideas a go tonight. Nope - but I don’t think it will have got that cold to be honest as since I’ve drilled holes in the fridge it doesn’t seem to be getting down as cold as it did before

    Keg won’t pour

Thanks but I’m confident that isn’t the problem. I can run star san through it from a different keg with no problem at all.

    Keg won’t pour

Thanks Is that easy to do with the keg full of beer? Is it a case of unscrewing the bit that the disconnect fits onto?

    Keg won’t pour

Newbie kegging problem here guys that I need some help with. I have recently set up a kegerator and have had my first keg carbing up for the last week. I came to pour my first beer from it this evening and the beer is only reaching half way up the tube to the tap (even with the co2 pressure...

Geterbrewed single hop full grain kit

This thought had crossed my mind - I might drop them an email and ask the question

Geterbrewed single hop full grain kit

I added the Amarillo version of Geterbrewed's single hop ipa all grain kit to my last order as a bit of whim and to see what it would be like. If it turns out ok then £13 might be a bit of a bargain compared to when i put together my own recipe. I must say, I was a bit surprised when i brewed...

    Gas management board

They look very neat and tidy. Where would you get the shako regulators with gauges? Done a quick search but can’t find them with gushes. Cheers

    Calling all Klarstein Owners.

First brew day with the Klarstein for me today. Overall I'm really happy with the kit. A couple of learnings that i can make for next time but no disasters so I'm pleased with how the day went. I ended up with less in the FV than intended (approx 19l), but i think i can make some tweaks to my...
