    Cold fermentation

    Cold fermentation

Ok, so I started my second brew a nelsons revenge Sunday 6th Nov and had the fermenter sitting in cupboard in the kitchen happily at 20-22c. On Thursday this week 17th I had to move it to the garage and the temp has dropped to around 10c. Will there be any adverse effects? Fermentation went well...

    Any Sunderland fans in?

All depends on what Sunderland are expecting to achieve by end of the season. Personally I don't think moyes is good enough to turn them into a mid table club. I think Sunderland will be in another relegation battle which I also don't think he is good enough to escape. Steve Bruce would have...

    Secondary

How can I be sure that secondary fermentation has taken place. I transferred a wherry into secondary on the 14th July. I added 100g brewing sugar first. When I took some out yesterday from tap on pv the beer was very heady and not very clear, does it sound ok? :-?

    Whatever happened to patience?

I am new to brewing and have my first brew (a 2 can wherry kit) fermenting now. Today is 14 days since I started and I only stopped seeing bubbling 3 days ago. I am now thinking it was right to follow the advice received from the forum as the instruction said to move to pressure barrel after 5...

    Top Gear - Evans quits.

Top Gear without clarkson, May and Hammond isn't top gear. The show should have been scrapped and a new show with a different format to suit the presenters should have been made. That said I'm backing Guy Martin to replace Evans.

Found approx 30 of these for sale today used but in good condition. Place where they are for sale said they had the bugs for them as well. They were selling for £2.50 each not sure if that is a good price or not. In the north Norfolk area if interested, place is called "cock & pullet"

Wherry - big bubbles or little bubbles?

thanks will definetley be keeping it in the primary for this second week. I have seen people with setups with fridges and kegs. Is this to keep the beer cool ahead of drinking once all stages are complete. I think the coolest place I have will be the garage but that depends on the weather...
