Well its been far too long since my last brewday (7 months :cry: ). Brewing all went on hold as I was off sailing across the Atlantic. I got back the other day, so time to build up stocks again. My damn laptop has died, so rather than making up my own brew, I'm following GW's book for this one...

I've been thinking of making some shiny for small test-brews. I see our friends on the french eBay site have 12 litre thermos pots, and 21 litre stock pots. I'm tempted to buy a set so I can do small 'kitchen' brews. I wonder if it's worth the effort? At least it'll give me something to do over...

I've just been checking the scale marks on a new screw-top fermenter. I've chucked in 8.5 litres of water and hit the 10l mark printed on the side :shock: I'd always known that these things are 'approximate', but this is WAY off the mark!! Simon
