    How much yeast.

    All, I have started my Woodforde Dark Norfolk NOG, It had a 6 g packet of yeast, so I swapped that for a wilko yeast just realised it was 11g. Will that have an adverse affect, or will it be ok? Thanking you in advance Steve.

    First Beer.

    I bought a Norfolk dark ale nog, can I do this in a 25 litre bucket, will I still use the air lock? As never have done a beer before, so want to start brewing that too. Thank you.

    Recipe advice.

    Today, I got my welshes red grape concentrate , apple juice from concentrate and blueberry juice from concentrate, so I have put 11/2 litres of welshes 1ltr apple and 1 Ltr of blueberries juice in the 2 dj’s. So not sure if I put some water in at the moment or, as I have some frozen...

    Morrisons, grape, apple & raspberry juice.

    I have bought 4 litres of the above, and wish to have a dabble and make some wow, now I have also bought a litre of pomegranate juice, do you think if I put 2litres of gar juice with 1litre pomegranate juice would be a good mix? Or a different combo? Thanking you in advance for your opinions...

    Hi all, I may have made a faux par, I did my crush of grapes all by hand, the Skins and pips left in but not crushed, did that and put 1 1/2 campden tablets in, I did a hydrometer test and needed 856g of white sugar, that was added, left it for 24 hours, added yeast and left for a week, drained...

    I have a question, I heard last night that when making wine the best sugar to use is a dark brown sugar, can anyone confirm that please.:thumb:
