i made 25 litres of WOW and racked to 15 litre supermarket bottle and 2 demijohns
i racked to a bucket degassed with power drill as normal then stabalised and fined
then i transfered to 15 litre and 2 demijohns
theproblem i had was one of the demijohns was 1.3 ish litres short so i pored...
i phoned my mate tonight to ask him how many elderberry trees he has on hi

i just bought the stuff for a large batch of wow 25 litres but what needs changing from the 1 gallon recipe
To make 1 gallon:
1 litre White Grape Juice
1 litre Orange Juice, no bits, budget brands are fine
around 800g Sugar
1 tsp Pectolase - see below
Tannin - see below
1 tsp Glycerine...

they are easy to delabel and i also get a plastic cork like the ones you can buy but rounded on the top

my strawberry ribena white grape and peach stopped premeturely so i made a starter and added a litre of white grape then slowly added the wine over a few days

i noticed on moleys wurzels guide he has modified the top so it is removeable and a bung can be fitted
could anyone tell me how to go about it and what size drill is best for the bung

the bloke in the shop said they are the same but my last 2 kits didnt come out as expected
coopers pilsner has a dark colour rather than light as shown on the tin and a very strong powdery...
i just bought asda 100% pure pressed red grape strawberry and kiwi juice 2litres of it
it contains
450 grapes
20 strawberries
2 kiwis
all pressed not from concentrate
will this be ok for 1 gallon of wine
i think my strawberry ribena white grape and peach has stopped. i used gervin no3, it has been at 1008 for a couple of days now,
is this too high and should i start it again, if so should i make a starter or just put some youngs yeast compund in (thats all i have)

just put together my first wow i cant wait for it. how soon can i decide weather its worth doing 10gallons of the stuff
a matured taste is not nececerry so will it be ok to try in 1 month?

do i need to rack my wine now its ready for it or am i ok leaving it till weekend when i will have some bottles to put it in
or will it be ok in a secondary with finings added and stabalisers if i do it tonight

i made a 5l bottle of red grape and cranberry 3 days ago but had no airlock so i used a baloon wich i steralised and pricked holes in
today i opened it for a gravity reading and there was black sludge around the lid of the bottle and bung wich seals the drilled hole in the water bottle lid...
just finished bottling my first ever brew :clap: (youngs lager) and thrown my next in the fv Austrailian pale ale so i think its another few trips to the pub for some more bottles :thumb:
i went to my home brew shop today for a few bits and bobs and he advised me to get a cup of boiling water and mix in half a bag of secondry sugar and then pour it into my fv and lightly stir it with a fork then leave for 10 minutes before bottling

hi again guys my first eva brew from a youngs brewbuddy lager starter kit is slowing down fermenting i cant see any bubbles rising in the fv but the lid keeps blowing up as theres gas building in there heres my hydrometer readings with temperature correction
