    ready to keg?

Hi Last Sunday i started my second kit brew (Woodforde Nelson). On Friday the fg was 1016 and today its still 1016. The instructions say get to 1014 before kegging. However, is 7 days sufficient? If i don't keg today then it will need to wait another 7 - i think that might be too long. There...

    small corn keg

thanks for that. At the moment i only use a cheapie keg but i prefer cold beer and i can't chill a 5g keg. I guess this isn't really what i need. I woudn't know how to force carbonate as i though it would work like the bulb gas you can plug into the cap of a normal keg. Cheers though

do you think i should bottle now? Sorry but i'm totally green here. in the instructions it says to aim for 1004, do you think after a week mines as close as it will get? Whats the longest you would expect this stage to take? What would you do? (bottle now, or leave another week?)

Cheers Bru would the Youngs beer enhancer you can buy in Wilkinsons (thats half sugar half spray malt) be as good as the light malt you said about? Or does the light malt completely replace the sugar?

    think this has gone wrong....

Thanks for the reply... i bought a thermoter today. Cleaned it. Sterilized it. Dropped it into the fv expecting it to bob back up but it sunk!! I thought it would be like the hydrometer. Anyway, I've left it there as didn't think it was worth retrieving. I already made a mess trying to...
