    stc1000 thanks Tim

HI Nic, yes, no problem in sending out replacement. Note to anyone who buys from me, if it's not there within four days, then contact me, ok? They seem to arrive in two days, normally, so don't delay and get freaked out if it doesn't arrive (not saying Nic was freaked out, BTW!) Someone...

    Temperature Controllers for Brew Fridge

This is one of the problems with domestic white goods that heat or cool. When the oven, for example, shows 180 when cooking your chicken roast, it might well be ten degrees above that, or even below, for all I know. But in practice the chicken will be cooked safely, so the margin of error is...

    Fermentation fridge progress and questions

PD's unit is not an STC, it's a TLZ-11. PD's - you set the function yourself, with STCs it detects what it needs to do.

    Fermentation fridge progress and questions

Cedaronics say, 'Cedaronics good.' :) Yes, the isolator switch could give the impression that no power is being delivered. Indeed, that was the idea. Shows you the current temp. without power output. Tim

    Thermostat?

I put a 40a relay on in the heating side in mine (if this is what you're referring to), but this is not the 'limit'. You will be governed by the 13a fuse in the plug.

    Was he a Spammer?

Just saw this - I was beginning to read 'spammer' as 'spanner'!

    Fermenting Cupboard Fridge?

FWIW, and it's a minor point, some STC's have the relays reversed, ie it's cooling then heating not the other way around. But it's only a minor point. Some say 'Elitech', some do not, some have strong guards over the terminals, some do not. English instructions easily found on the www.

your reveiw on the homebrew heat belts

No, it's self-regulating. A temp controller would only switch it on/off. It's possibly a non-runner, I don't know, but worth a shot, might be of some use. If not, no worries. :)

your reveiw on the homebrew heat belts

Does anyone want to try, free of charge, a length of heat tracing that I can supply? It's 10w per metre, and it would be helpful, not just to me (!), but others in deciding if it's a useful addition or not. Only thing I would say is that at this stage you would need to find your own way of...

    Had abusive phone call...

Well, I certainly didn't post to pick up compliments, but it's nice anyway! :) Sadly, I can't match most of the usernames here to real life people, apart from you Dennis! I get the sentiments, I'll just push this to one side. I have all his details if needed (for legal, non-poo-in-post...

Trouble is that one never knows if you're dealing with a cycle path or not. I think's better to assume that you are. :)

    Had abusive phone call...

Thanks PD, it's appreciated. It's just so off the wall this kind of thing, he made no attempt to hide his address, occupation, place of work, all the rest of it, yet seems to think this is acceptable. It's a whacky world alright.

    Had abusive phone call...

I worked late last night as well making his units up ready for despatch today. Still, I'm sure they'll find a good home. :D

    Had abusive phone call...

In the time I have been running this outfit, I only ever had one contre-temps with a customer - a guy who I spent hours with giving information, emails, phone calls, guiding him to the right place for this and that, to make the correct purchase - for him to turn around after his order arrived...

Oh yes, on that quad bike thingy. You'd have thought he'd have given Juliet Bradbury a ride, wouldn't you? I would have.
