Is there a boiler (house variety) engineer in the snug?

Hi, sorry for no weekend news - we were away (out of sight, out of mind!) but the house was still standing when we got back so that was good! Anyway - got back late sunday and while in bathroom it sounded like teh boiler was struggling to fire while the central heating was on (no shower or...

Is there a boiler (house variety) engineer in the snug?

isolation points are fun for that. I've previously taken the bath panel off for a leak. One of the pipes has two isolators on it about a foot apart where the fitter obviosuly had different lenghts of pipe he needed to use up (pre us owning the house). I cannot remember the other!!

Is there a boiler (house variety) engineer in the snug?

Crastney - as your edit points out, it is not an electric shower, the feed comes straight from the combi. Regards resetting the boiler, we don't have to reset it, it just seems to cycle on its own. There are no error lights flashing (it's only got two lights which ahve a number of diff...

Hi, Firstly - if this is in the wrong place, please let me know for future reference (also if it has been covered before!) I seem to have a bit of hit and miss luck with priming and getting carbonation. I dissolve sugar in boiled water, then when cooled I add yeast. I use a syringe to put a...

    ahoy ahoy

Hello, Just thought I should say hello. I'm an all grain brewer and have been going about 8-10 months now. I've got 5 or 6 batches under my belt so far, some great, some indifferent, one abjectly dismal! I never really thought of homebrewing as a thing to do. I remember my dad doing it in...

    combining different yeasts

Hi All, sorry if this is a potentially stupid question, but it is one that has had me umming and ahhhing for a little while. Different yeasts impart different notes into the beer, what would happen if you combined different yeasts known for different flavours? Has anyone tried it, is it a...
