Equipment For Sale All in One Brew System

Could you post an inkbird to me? Any ideas the cost?

    6 years later...

25 litres. Cheers... I went from a recipe guide for an IPA as it didn't have NEIPA so I've just told em it'll be a nice hoppy IPA Given my hatred of over-hazy (fining lazy) beers it'll probably be for the best. I'll be chucking some Irish moss in to help it clear too.

    Fridge and hop plants De56

Okay all... I have an under counter fridge that has been in my garage for 2 years awaiting a fermentation/serving fridge build. Was fully working when I put it in there. Available for collection from Belper. Luke

    New Brew

As I said in an earlier post it is about broad flavours and a rich result. This is a really, really smooth but incredibly rich dark beer. There are crossovers in taste with some of the grain types but a lot are unique in exactly what you get from them... if you like dark beers try having a...

    New Brew

This is well underway now and is lovely... I'll be trying to recreate it I think.

2.30am and just getting ready to pitch yeast

With 3 kids I tend to brew when the opportunity arises. Sometimes I start the mash before bedtime so I can finish once I'm done getting them asleep... sometimes the wife puts them to bed (unusual blessing). If I am late getting started I might mash and sparge at night then boil first thing...

Can anyone recommend a good bottle crown capper?

Bench capper all the way. Costly but ace.

Planning my first AG brew, with limited space

Sounds a good method like batch sparge (remash) in a bag. Doing it twice should aid efficiency. Blankets on hobs not a good plan if I read that right!

    Anyone near an FV bucket?

If it has an ice box you'll struggle. I had a compact one that just fit an FV in if I used a hat type airlock tall one was too small... so I guess what I am saying is don't forget the airlock!

    Smoked porter - no head

I clean my FV with washing up liquid but never had head problems. Give the glass a good clean and dry it and try a few more bottles in the name of science! (I have had bottles where some seem to pour better than others)

How long before drinking an IIPA?

I'd be leaving it 6 months at least for that strength it'll be amazing and criminal to leave it too little. After a couple of weeks in fridge remove it and stick somewhere handier then just move a few in to chill as you desire.

kegging a 10 litre batch into a 23 litre pressure barrel

If it has an s30 valve give it a blast then wait for the co2 to sink under the excess air then release some pressure before giving it another blast. Not ideal but it'll help.

    Another Brew Pale Ale

Change of plan.... Just dropped first trial from FV after a 4 days of manic fermentation and it tastes gorgeous so I am going to apply the if it ain't broke don't f##k with it approach and the leftover hops can go in the bin!

    problem hitting FG

I too used to overlook Manor Park and my school Duke of Norfolk... small world. As said high FG are a factor of high OG because of the difficult to ferment sugar. You also have the fact that alcohol kills the yeast eventually. To get more easily fermentable sugar sparge at lower temp (70 C saw...

    19-21-23 Litres?

Plenty of people do like adding brew enhancer etc. Usually steeping means you need to boil and cool (though I'd think there are folk that don't? and will happily hear their experiences). Kits are basically hopped extract so by brewing short you'll get a concentration of hop flavour as well as...

    UK Homebrewing Magazine?

TV copyright is so minimal that a minor change in format is a different show. Though you've no worries of me making a TV show. I have little enough time to make beer!

    UK Homebrewing Magazine?

Some of the ideas on the page make me rethink that a little. A brew of the month recipe with backing from suppliers might be cool.... you advertise and review a recipe, sometimes beefed up kit, sometimes extract, sometimes AG and the suppliers/sponsors sell it as a "kit" on offer. Might boost...

    UK Homebrewing Magazine?

Masters of the Brewniverse? A catchy name is what I am missing really... that and any experience in the TV industry and time to even try and make it work. I suppose I'd need willing contestants and judges to make a pilot episode. Think the lag time of months between beer creation and...
