    Tea urn type boilers

    Can anybody tell me if it will cause a short-circuit in a tea urn boiler, if a metal hop filter lays across the metal base of the tea urn . Basically will I get any problems if any metal (hop filter or wort chiller) touches the tea urn base thanks

    pre-mash cleaning/ sterilising

    Does anybody else bother to sterilise their boiler and water storage/ treatment pot. I.e. vessel’s used pre-mash ???? It’s a habit I seem to have got into and I just wanted to see if it really is wasted effort.
