Cascade, EKG and Prima Donna Rhizomes for Sale

Fantastic. Expect a lot more shoots, once you get to the end of May it will leap up. It will be fine to put it out whenever, it will go into shock but it will recover. Hops like a frost so don't worry about it too much.

Cascade, EKG and Prima Donna Rhizomes for Sale

If you cut into it and the stem is white then it is still alive and if it's brown it's usually dead. I normally check if I'm not sure. In regards to when it will come up I'm not sure to be honest, it's been a while since I've planted one, mine are quite mature now. But I suppose it is due to...

Cascade, EKG and Prima Donna Rhizomes for Sale

The first year is all about root growth, so you will get a harvest in the first year but it will be the 2nd and 3rd year when you get a significant crop. You'll probably get enough for a brew in the first year. Once you get to May you will start to see significant growth and they really start...

Cascade, EKG and Prima Donna Rhizomes for Sale

Hi All It’s that time of year when I do a bit of maintenance of my hop plants, as a result I have a number of rhizomes for sale. I have Cascade, East Kent Goldings & Prima Donna. The hops are £10 each, which includes P&P. However if you would like more than one it would be 2 for £18, 3 for...

    Ruby Red Ale Recipe

Nice one, I've picked up a bottle of Medusa from Aldi today, so use that recipe as a starting point. It doesn't have to be a clone, so it should be good.

    Ruby Red Ale Recipe

Hi All I’ve been tasked with brewing a Ruby Red Ale, Marston’s Medusa being the benchmark. But it’s not a style I am that familiar with. Does anyone have a good Ruby Red Ale recipe, and what grain gives it it’s distinctive colour? Thanks Neil

    Wanted 200l Stainless Steel Vessels

Hi All I looking to build a 200l brewery in my shed, but I’m struggling to source 200l stainless steel vessels at a reasonable price. Does anyone know where I get 200l stainless steel vessels? So far the cheapest I can find is for £360 per unit on eBay. Neil

    Gluten Free Yeast

No I'm planning to brew using sorghum and I wanted to use a yeast that has not been cultured using malted barley.

Where to buy Sorgham or Millet

Does anyone know where I can buy sorghum grain or millet, malted or unmalted. It’s looking increasing likely that I have intolerance to wheat and maybe barley. I have been tested for celiac disease and it has come back negative, but all I know if I drink beer that is wheat free, gluten...
