Hey @allotment_fox thanks for reply I assume you mean “don’t” hurry it, not do, correct ? Re: sugar, I was going to use 1, 1.5 and 2 carbonation drops, and some with 1/2 tspn granulated sugar From your experience of the Wherry, which would you suggest ?

Wherry - Day 11 SG query and glass bottle cleaning

cheers @Rwilts @Slid 2 weeks is good as that's Sunday but i 'spose any additional sensible time wont harm, correct ? what would be the maximum as brew should be left for as surely the dates given by manufacturers are their best practice and after all, it's their product and recipe ?

Wherry - Does the temperature need reducing ?

@The Baron So i've removed the jackets from my vessel and also opened the lid on my celotex box too The inkbird is showing 22c but the air temperature from the thermometer i have dangling over my bucket is reading 17c So is this simply that the yeast is generating all the heat and will this...

Wherry - Does the temperature need reducing ?

Thanks @The Baron Coats removed I forgot to mention that I have a heat pad underneath/plugged in to the inkbird so I should be able to get it pretty close to 20c and then step it up a few notches towards the end/around 10 or 12 days time

Should I Just Ignore My Hydrometer Readings?

@mancer62 As previously advised, get yourself an additional/new hydrometer for the cost of around 3 quid, ready for your next reading and you’ll have something to compare
