    Out of date kits...

I brought a milestone kit once for £10 which was a year out of date so rehydrated the yeast first to make sure it was ok then did the kit and it came out fine and saved myself £12.

    best brews

Ive recently done this kit along with the lions pride. The crusader is a nice easy drinking light ale. The lions pride is a darker ale and nice also. When mates have tried them both and they prefer the lions pride. Ive also seen good reviews on the green man and dark galleon which ive not tried

    Breaking bottles while bottling?

I have had same issues at times. I used the old boots capper then brought the wilko one. Some of the bottles are great like magners but as u say the wychwood are dodgy. It is annoying losing some beer at the end process and also worrying when they smash

Howdy. Opinions on Woodford wherry /safale 05 +cascade

I don't know matey. I used the hop tea as it was easy to use. Just boil kettle and fill mug with boiling water and then add tea bag for 10 mins. Then add it all to your fv. I was told to add it at around day 5 after main fermentation had slowed down and will add more aroma to the brew but I...

Howdy. Opinions on Woodford wherry /safale 05 +cascade

wherry is a great kit (one of my favorites). I did my last one with a hop tea bag of ekg. I added this when I transferred into a 2nd fv for clearing and left it for 5 days then transferred to corny. Its very nice and added more aroma to it but I think next time ill add more as it was only 12g

Thanks for the replies. Yeah ill have to keep an eye on it. He said he used same finnings as last batch and no sulphites. He used wgj, rgj, pineapple, banana juice so nothing unusual. He said no one else had a reaction to the wine. It's a strange one
