    Label removal

Cheers for the update I've got a few crabbies bottles and hate the glue they use, I'll definitely be giving this a go!!

    Wilko's pear cider.

The 2 20L batches I've done I used about 150-160g (I have **** scales) the mixed berry I am drinking just now has a perfect fizz IMO

    On The Rocks - Cider

I've made the mixed berry one, very nice brew IMO. I left mines for just over a month, no eggy smell at all, to me it's not very kopparberg-y at all, the flavour is much less intense but that still doesn't stop it being far to easy to knock them back :drunk: I'd live to hear how the blueberry...

    Wilko's pear cider.

As above leave it to ferment in the fv then once that's done and started to clear up, rack into a second fv, batch prime and then bottle, sorted! :)

    Lalvin EC-1118

It's the only yeast until recently I've bought and everything I've made using it has yet to stick and they've all cleared up crystal clear (well apart from the couple that just ain't ever going to like the robinsons alcopop type brews) :thumb: Hope that helps :)

    Finings and Fizz?

I have only had 1 brew that had pretty much no fizz after using finnings so in my experience I'd say chances are you'd be fine but I'm not exactly the most experienced here :P

    Label removal

My method is: A 15-20 minute soak in very hot water and peel off If its not off easily, then I use something to scrape off the paper (pizza cutter believe it or not!) Then the glue normally comes off, if not, lighter fluid works a treat Final rinse and sorted! :thumb:

Cheap & Simple Tropical Punch - A BBQ MUST

A glass Demi is 4.5L at the shoulder (well roughly, I have mines marked with litre steps and 4.5L at the top, all written on masking tape, really helpful at times!) so no need to alter anything IMO Just remember to leave space in it in case it foams up and then top it up once it's plodding on...

Cheap & Simple Tropical Punch - A BBQ MUST

Depending on the brew I normally rack, then either batch prime or bottle prime and bottle at that same stage. If there's a lot of sediment and its still not really clear (this brew won't clear so not to much to worry about :thumb: ) then I'd rack and add finnings. Regarding that though if...

    Wilkos yeast

Think it says gervin universal wine yeast on the wee packet, until now I've only used lalvin EC-1118 because it was all I'd had... My question is; will the wilko one be suitable for ciders as well?

    Small bung

    Alco~Coke

well in a 4L batch that is roughly 5% and in a 5L batch that is roughly 4% so its really all about how strong you're wanting it to be, the volumes I'm talking about are final volumes so if you end up topping up your ABV will drop a bit.

    Alco~Coke

I don't have my notes with me but for roughly 4.5%, according to the hydrometer table I use online 95g/L will get you there.

OTR Raspberry & Lime Cider / Lambrini Bottles for Cider

I've seen it said before, the companies that make these kits obviously have the time and money to experiment with different things to produce a drink most folk will like, if you've never made the kit before try it as the instructions say, that way you have a base line. If you make all these...

    Alco~Coke

This is pretty much how I made mines, use 4L if you're doing a glass Demi, that way all you're gonna have to do is rack into the syrup at the end. Your brew will be about 5% Mines off he top of my head was something like 4.5L water (in a plastic Demi, holds 5L), enough sugar for roughly...

    Mead

My receipe for a 2L batch 340g jar honey (81g per 100g honey total sugar = 275.4g) 200g summer fruit mix (5.4g per 100g total sugar = 10.8g) Small handful raisins (no idea about sugar content here but surely it's negligible) 2tsps nutrient So by my math that's 275.4 + 10.8 = 286.2g ... 286.2/2...
