Looking for some advice on a commercial beer that will taste decent at room temperature. Going on a stag weekend from Glasgow to Manchester so circa 4hour train journey, beer isn't going to stay cold.

Any suggestions?

Happy to consider ale, lager, stout actually any beer at all!

Cheers.

Will you be drinking them on the journey? If so how about opening the window, have a bottle of water with you, pour water over bottle and hold at window to get evaporative cooling, not all trains have windows though and don't stick you're arm or head out of door window.

Yeah the beers are just for the train journey, gotta stay hydrated on our travels! Will just grab a few random bottles from sainsburys and avoid lagers which are generally rotten unless just about frozen.

Never mind! - If you drink enough beer you won't worry about the temperature

Anyway when you get to Manchester do try 'Beermoth' http://beermoth.co.uk/cafe/

And after that wander over to the 'Northern Quarter' about 500 yards away It's full of decent places to eat and drink.

Enjoy your trip :thumb:

Cheers
