A while back i brewed an Ale using Mount Hood as the aroma hop... and also dry hopped.....

The result was really quite good.... it gave refreshing hoppy notes not too citrus...

What European hop would give similar charateristics...??????????????

From the Hop lists I have, these are listed as substitues: Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, Hallertauer Hersbrucker, Liberty, Tettnang, Ultra
I have only brewered with Hersbrucker out of them and would say it's along the right lines your looking for.

I've used the Mittlefrug in a pale, The AA is a bit light so I would say that you need to really let the wort see the hop...

Tasted beautiful, real delicate tones rather than a shovel in the face
