and yes the lamp shade spacer was made to measure and just the shape for the job, actually used 2 slotted together as they are quite thin so thought 2 together would beaf things up a bit - worked a treat.
Just wished I'd bought the thermopot without a tap, would have been cheaper and easier to make the correct sized holes from scratch !
No harm done but we live and learn I guess.

That's a lot of little bits'n'peices but it's a nice and professional external finish, looks like it was meant to be there with the use of the spacer :thumb:
