So the wife wanted to make some limoncello for Xmas. We grated the rind of 16 lemons and put it in a litre of vodka. After just 15 minutes it smelt fantastic, so naturally we proceeded to have a shot which was not half bad. I plan to sweeten it with some sugar on Xmas eve, I will do this to taste as I have no idea how much I will need.

So feeling very happy with ourselves (and a little tipsy) we discussed what we should do with the rest of the lemons. Lemon hooch came to mind, so we juiced them and got about a litre, added a litre of water and 200g of dextrose. Didn't bother taking any readings. I did have some mj cider yeast but did not want to use it up on this, so I scooped about half a cup of Krausen from a festival nz pilsner kit that's bubbling away and chucked it in.

I have no idea how this will turn out. The yeast has certainly started to work. Will let you know when we try it.
