I've got a bottle of St Bernardus abt 12 and a bottle of Quintine bio organic in the house waiting for my delectation.

From what I'm seeing these may be bottle conditioned with primary yeast strains and I'm thinking about harvesting the yeast, trying to propagate them then share with my homebrew club... Or anyone on here interested.

Is it worth it?

Yes. A yeast strain can give a beer most of it's flavour so if your trying to clone a beer the yeast correct strain will be crucial. Even if your not cloning a beer unless it's a very clean strain it will give something unique to your beer

Thanks again MyQul. Got no DME just now so i'll need to wait before I drink it!
