I don't normally buy kits, but me and me mate Richy ( @richytrue ) and I picked up a few of these in the Tesco sale the other week.

His first one finished first (and has long gone), mine cleared a few days ago so today I bottled 5 bottles, and put the 6th straight into a decanter to sit for a few hours which I'm sampling now.

It's absolutely lovely. Not my usual tipple, a bit sweet for my taste and fruity but for £4.50 I'm delighted. Needs a few weeks to settle, but drinkable immediately. Very nice subtle taste of cherry.

The kit said to add 'around' 450g sugar, Rich did 500g, I did 550g. Not sure if it's the yeast, but I could only get mine down to 1.004.

I fact Rich has bought another #few# kits of this, he likes it that much

finished the last bottle last weekend, absolutely lovely wine for the price.

The sweetness settled, and it was fantastic.
